Describe the causes of the Silesian Weavers uprising. Comment on the viewpoint of the journalist.

The uprising of the Silesian Weavers  broke out in 1845. The main cause of the uprising was drastic reduction in the payment to the Weavers. They were paid by the contractors. These contractors supplied the raw materials to the weavers and gave orders for finished textiles. Hence, a large number of weavers marched to the mansions of the contractors to demand higher wages.

The viewpoint of the journalist was unsympathetic and biased against the Weavers.The journalist largely favoured the weaving contractors. He failed to recognise the sufferings face by the Weavers. He seemed to have observed the event with the Limited perspective.

The revolt by silesian workers took place because they were cheated by the contractors. The contractors gave them orders and even if tge weavers completed there work in limited time they payment was reduced. This angered them a lot and hence it led to a revolt where tge weavers went to the houses of contractors smashed elegant window panes , furniture porcelain etc . But tge journalist presented it in completely different manner this shows he was against weavers nd supported contracters . This shows the rude or harsh behaviour of tge journalist .
