Chandrayaan-2 is India's second lunar exploration mission after Chandrayaan-1. Developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation, the mission was launched from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre on 22 July 2019 at 2.43 PM IST to the Moon by a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III.

chandrayan 2 is mission which had to be launched in 2014 but due to refusal of Russian space angecy roscosmos to supply equipments it was first delayed and then indian scientists decided to make it a home grown mission .it was first tried to launch on july 14 but due to leakage in fuel tank it was launched on 22 july. it consists pd a orbitar ,a lander and a rover. It will land on southern pole of moon on 6-7 sept. From there it will send highly resolved images of its land possibilities of water and more
