Explanation:

A Hardworking Farmer – Lencho was a simple man and a hardworking farmer. He worked like an ox in his field.

Love For Family – Lencho’s entire crop was badly destroyed by the hailstorm. So, he became very sad as he was worried about his family.

An Optimistic Person – Although his only source of living was taken away, he didn’t lose hope. He had his last hope in God. He was confident that God would help him in his distress.

An Innocent Man – Lencho didn’t know that there was no such living person as God who could send him money, which shows his innocence.

Strong Believe in God – Lencho had firm faith in God as he sought help from God when his crop was destroyed. He wrote Him to send a hundred pesos. But when he received seventy pesos, he called the post-office employees a bunch of cooks. He rewrote a letter to God from the remaining thirty pesos, which shows his firm faith in God.

All of these were his good Qualities. He lacked one quality which is essential to be a good human: gratitude. Lencho had received seventy pesos, all collected by workers of the post office. They were, in a way, a representation of God in this mortal world who helped Lencho during his trying times. However, instead of being grateful for the money he received, he complained to God that he had only received seventy pesos instead of hundred and that the post office office workers were all crooks who had stolen his money. He did not bother to wonder where the money came from.

Hope that helps you!

Regards

Lencho was a hard working farmer who had grown corn in his field and was waiting for rain anxiously. He was very happy to see the rain but when the rain became a storm and destroyed his fields he was very disappointed and started to worry. He had a deep faith in God and after the destruction of the field, he was hopeful that everything will be all right. Although Lencho was a very strong man and worked hard in the field, his faith in God made him write a letter to God in which he asked for hundred pesos from God and was confident of receiving the amount. When he received only seventy pesos he again wrote to God asking for the remaining money as he very much believed that god would have sent those hundred pesos so he was accusing the post department as he thought they stole the money. This shows that Lencho was a religious and a faithful man.
