Mrs. Dorling is an important character of the marga minco's story 'the address' . she is intoduced to us as the mother of a fifteen years old girl. Like her daughter mrs. Dorling has a broad back .

when the narrator rings the bell Mrs. Dorling appears wearing the green knitted cardigan with wooden buttons of the narrator's mother.

Long time ago she was the neighbour of the narrator's mother she was a very cunning and selfish lady who cheated the narrator's mother in the name of help and wiped her silver studded items .
