story belongs to India. Long long ago there was a famous king in Ujjayani {Now it is called Ujjain} The King’s name was Vikrmaditya and he was famous for his justice. He did all works for the welfare of his people. People loved him very much.

After many long years of Vikramaditya, there was an another king ruling that Kingdom. In his kingdom, means in Ujjayani, there was a small village. Some shepherd children used to take the cattle to the forest for grazing in the morning and come back in the evening.

It was quite a long time period, so after having lunch they started playing. They used to play a game, in which one boy used to sit on a mound, becomes the Judge, other boys bring different types of cases like, theft ,robbery, snatching lands, animals or other types of crimes, and all the clients used to get satisfied after the judgements.

It was the only favourite game of those children. Soon the news spread People started going to the children for their small disputes and went back satisfied. They thought, it is a very long process in King’s court to get justice so slowly they stopped going there. This news spread and reached the king, he called the minister and discussed about the matter. The king said that it might be the judgement seat of vikramaditya. They decided to dig the mound, so next morning with some labourers minister went there and they found a throne under that mound ,It was brought to the Palace, got cleaned ,It was a very beautiful throne, there were twenty five fairies holding the seat. It was kept in a room near King’s bedroom. King kept fast for three days and the next day when he was going to sit on the throne first angel spoke up and asked him if he is worthy to sit on the throne. He answered that he is not and the angel flies asking him to fast for three more days. After three days when he went to sit on the throne the second angel woke up and asked that if he has desired the riches of others then he is not worthy to sit on the throne. The king says no I am not worthy and the next angel also flies asking him to fast for three more days. Like this hundred days get past and now only one angel was left. The next day when he went to sit on the throne the last fairy woke up and asked if his heart was pure then he is worthy. The king answers in negative and the fairy takes the seat and flies.

The king thought to himself that the fairy taught him a lesson that his heart was not as pure as that child’s. he was able to sit because his heart was pure and the king is not worthy to sit on it

"The shepherd boy in the story successfully sits on the seat of Vikramaditya as the King fails on that seat of the judgment owing to the fact that the heart of the shepherd boy was fair, true, and innocent. As he supported and stood for the right. However the King's heart was not as true or innocent as that of that innocent boy and had its own taints of a human being.

The judgment given by the boy after taking his seat on the mound represented the seat of justice, that is the position and power that called for justice, righteousness, and being true to oneself and others, was satisfactory and justified in every possible manner. His character left a deep and long lasting good and pure impression on others' heart. The character of the shepherd boy was rather a metaphor of how power comes with its own share of responsibilities. It should have a sense of true self with justice being the ultimate objective."
