Appa-mam is a combatant in one of the memoirs written by Padma Hejmadi.  Appa mam is a very recognizable personality in almost every house of South India.

The figure is represented as a prodigal, sluggish and lazybones conman. He had the potential to be the ideal in any children’s association.  Appa-mam used to take things away from individual and he was not reluctant about delivering back either.
