Answer:

This is the season to sing carols and usher in Christmas. However, due to covid restrictions, and all schools conducting classes online, Christmas celebrations have also moved online. But students and teachers have come together to make sure they keep the festive spirit alive and kicking.

This year, to start bringing in the festive spirit two weeks prior to Christmas, teachers combined Christmas stories with some of their lectures. “On the day of the festival, students from Classes 1-3 will dress up in red, green and white, wear a Santa cap and sing Christmas carols together in a karaoke setup. Additionally, to promote positivity, each child will write affirmation for one another that will be read out as part of the celebration. Teachers will also play a game called ‘Freeze’ with the children,” Ponnappa says.

Carol singing competition is being conducted online. The winners are being chosen on the basis of maximum likes and views,” says Shylaja Menon, Principal, adding that the teachers are also encouraging them to play Secret Santa to get into the festive vibe. Students from pre-Primary to Class 10 are also showcasing different activities like Taekwondo, Dance, Music, Visual Art, Theatre, and Tabata till December 25.
