The Russian Revolution in 1917 was probably the most explosive political events that happened in the 20th century.
Russia’s weak government and the economy was even more pressurized after the First World War. This made the people go against the Tsar. There was no food and other necessities for the public.
There were many events during the Russian Revolution. The main events were:
1. The Steelworkers first went on a strike and there were many demonstrations and riots.
2. The troops fired the crowds and the Duma urged action. The Duma was dissolved by the Tsar.
3. The soldiers join the riots and set up a “Petrograd Soviet” with selected deputies. The Tsar’s government had fallen and Russia had 2 governments.
