The Constituent Assembly of India was formulated to frame the Indian Constitution. It consisted of Indians with focus of idealism and unity among the members. It took decisions through consensus on basis of unanimity. Efforts were made to sort out opinion differences and overcome biases.

II) Most of the members of this constituent assembly represented Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs etc.

III) The Assembly included eminent personalities like Jawahar Lal Nehru, Vallabhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad etc.

IV) There were 15 female members also in the constituent assembly.

V) Some ideals are included in the constitution of free India like freezing commitment to democracy and guarantee of Justice, equality and freedom to all the people.
