Criminal courts
Criminal courts hear cases which include offences and crime that take place in breach of criminal laws. It deals with cases related to crime.

It include cases like theft, robbery , murder etc.

The criteria for recognition of a party as State party are as under:

1. If a party secures 6% of valid votes polled and 2 seats in Legislative Assembly elections.

2. If a party secures 6% of votes and 1 Seat in Lok Sabha.

3. If a party gets 3 seats in Legislative Assembly or 3% of the Legislative Assembly seats.

Revenue Courts
Revenue courts are established at the district level to deal with cases pertaining to land revenue system.They deal with cases related to rents, revenue or profits of land used for agricultural purposes.

At the apex is the Board of revenue which above all revenue courts. Under the Board of Revenue are the Commissioner's Court, Court of Tahsildar and Naib Tahsildar . Every dispute related with land revenue first comes before the court of Tahsildar. An appeal against the decision lies in court of Collector or Deputy Commissioner.Thereafter an appeal against the decision of Deputy Commissioner's court can be made in the Court of Commissioner.Further appeals can be made to the Board of Revenue which is the highest Court of land in revenue matters.
