2.The union government or India's central government  is divided into three distinct but interrelated branches: 

Legislative-It consist of Parliament of India, headed by the President and constitutes Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha.

Executive-It consists of the president, vice president, and a Council of Ministers, led by the prime minister.

Judicial-It is independent of the Executive and constitutes Supreme court of India and High court

The Union Government has three organs-the Legislature,the Executive and the Judiciary.

The Union Legislature is called the parliament (Sansad). Indian Parliament is bicameral and consists of two Houses named-Lok Sabha nd Rajya Sabha. The Union Executive comprises of the President of India (Rashtrapati) and the union Council of Ministers headed by the Prime Minister. The third organ is the Judiciary. The highest pex court of India is the Supreme Court of India, which has maximum 31 Judges headed by the Chief Justice of India.
