since independence, india has achieved self sufficiency in aiming the food security. since independdence, the indian policy makers had adopted a new strategy, GREEN REVOLUTION which had promoted to food security in india. after this, there was a quick increase in the food production in some states. the highest rate of growth was achieved by punjab but that only focussed to wheat and rice. some were helped by this, but most of the poors whose basic food is oats, millets so they were not much helped
