Describe the condition of Mariner soon after death of albatross

After shooting the albatross.. The mariner felt sad.. And all other mariners felt very bad.. After death of albatross they all got the bad luck.. So in order to avoid that they tied the albatross around the mariners neck.. He also accepted ..he realized his mistake..
