The east india company in the 18th century took start asserting monopoly rights regarding trade . They make their own management system and implement it ,
Initially they took hold over wavers with the help of their own agent known as "Gomasthas" These paid agents start supervise the wavers.
The east india company's management system did not allowed the wavers to deal with other trader. The british brings their goods in the market resulting in drop of local market .These imported products was the too cheap that local products did not stand a chance.
The local indian wavers faced the difficulty in finding the quality raw cotton. The quality raw material was exported which the local wavers have to then buy at higher prices making impossible for them to get the good profit .
