Condition that led to the emergence of Independent states in India after the mughal empire:

  • Most of the successor of Aurangzeb for very weak and insufficient administrators. They spend most of their time in luxury and Merry making.

  • They often neglected state of affairs.

  • The nobles became more powerful and declared their areas as independent States.

  • Aurangzeb's Deccan policy prove to be the major blunder. His his long absence from the capital for 25 years weekend his administration.

  • His conquest of Bijapur and Golconda made his empire too vast to be well administered. His control on his empire became loose. This led to the emergence of independent States.

  • The rise of the Sikhs and the Marathas gave a death below to the mughal empire. These powers took away parts of the mughal territories and set up their independent kingdoms, unchecked by the mughals.
