Maharaja Ranjit Singh was furious with Sardar Dal Singh, the chief of Akalgarh who allied with his enemies.

So he ordered his army to attack Gujrat and defeated the Bhangi rulers of that place.

Then he conquered Akalgarh and imprisoned Sardar Dal Singh.

Later, this chief was released after seriously humiliated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

Dal Singh died shortly after returning home and thus, Akalgarh was annexed to the kingdom of Ranjit Singh.
