Answer:

Biogas is the gas resulting from the biodegradation of an organic substance when there is no oxygen . Biogas originates from organic matter and is a type of biofuel and is produced by anaerobic digestion or fermentation of biodegradable materials such as biomass , fertilizer, sewage , solid waste, green waste, plants and energy crops.  . This type of biogas consists primarily of methane and carbon dioxide . Other types of gas are created using biomass, such as wood gasIt is produced by gasification of wood or other biomass. This type of gas consists mainly of nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon monoxide, in addition to a small amount of methane. Methane, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide can burn or oxidize with oxygen. The air contains 21% oxygen, and this free energy of biogas allows it to be used as fuel. It is possible for biogas to be used as cheap fuel in any country for any purpose such as heating. It can also be used in modern waste management facilities where it can be used to power any type of heat engineTo generate mechanical or electronic power. Biogas can be compressed, much like natural gas, and used to power mechanical vehicles, for example the UK has been able to replace vehicle fuel by 17%.  . Biogas is a renewable fuel, which qualifies for renewable energy support in some parts of the world.
