• He had denounced the Ilbert Bill in 1883.

• He was given the title of “The uncrowned king of Bombay”.

2. Jyotiba Phule 1827-1890

-A social reformer from Maharashtra, he worked for the upliftment of the low castes.

3. Subhash Chandra Bose 1897-1945

4. Ras Behari Bose 1886-1945

5. Ram Manohar Lohia 1910-1968
