Hey friend,

French philosophers influenced Les Droits de l’Homme et du Citoyen (Rousseau, Contrat Social), the abolition of slavery, the separation of powers (Montesquieu, Rousseau’s utopia), etc.

The anti-monarchist and anti-clerical ideas of some philosophers greatly influenced the movement.

So revolutionaries were not AGAINST philosophy.

The French Revolution saw the outbreak of a different kind of philosophy: with the apparition of medias and newspapers, the freedom of press and speech made informations much more accessible. Philosophers mostly wrote essays on the Revolution, the institutions, on previous philosophers (e.g: Germaine de Staël). Nothing was forbidden (except monarchist propaganda, which could lead to you being arrested and eventually guillotined).

But philosophy was a very obscure and minor thing during the Revolution, and not much philosophers really emerged. People mostly focused on politics, economics, international relationships. People just had no time for philosophy: the bourgeoisie was the state and was busy leading the country, the aristocrats emigrated and were generally also involved in politics (defending their cause) and not philosophy, and the people still did not have access to such a level of education

hope this an will help u
