Some reasons for the outbreak of French Revolution were:

  • There was discrimination among people and some people were not given certain priviliges.
  • There was heavy burden of tax among the poor and the peasants.
  • The king was not concerned of the problems of the citizens.
  • The prices of staple food was increased which Peasants and labourers could not afford.
  • There was a System of revenu collection called " Feudal system " , in this system A zamindar collected tax from peasants and gave them to the king , The jamindar demanded extra tax from the peasants and hence the peasants beacame poor and poor.
  • Some people emerged in middle class ages , they were mainly philosophers or educated people and they maked people awared to the discrimination the king is doing with them.

political cause= the treasury of France was empty because of long years of war and the France face debt of more than 2 billion livres to maintain the cost of army, the court running government the king increase taxes this angered people economic cause= due to increase in population the food grains of France now in great demand the price of bread Short up this led to subsistence crisis.

immediate cause= on 5 may 1789 Louis xvi called together on assembly of estates general to pass proposal for new taxes third estates protested against this proposal but as each estate have one vote the king rejected this appeal they walked out of the assembly
