In 1774 Louis XVI asscended as the throne of the France. Upon his asscessions the new king found an empty treasury long years of war had drained the financial resources of France added to this cost of maintainance of extravagent court at immense place of Versailles. Under LouisXVI France helped thirteen American colonies to gain independence from their common enemy Britian.On 5th may Louis XVI call the meeting of estate general. The third estate demanded the vote for all where each member has one vote. Louis XVI rejected this proposal and third estate walk ou of assembly in protest.
