it was constituted to see the further inclusion of people required for reservation

its report was tabled in year 1993

in this report 27 percent was to be reserved for obc excluding creamy layer of obc and total reservation should not ezceed more than 50percent

The Mandal Commission Report took a new turn after the coming of the Janta Dal government in power in 1989.The new government decided to implement the recommendations put forward by the Mandal Commission that jobs in central government should also be reserved for the OBC's.This resulted in severe protests against the Mandal Commission recommendations.
