1 dicot leaf is referred as dorsiventral leaf
2.upper layer of leaf is called as epidermis also called as adaxial side
below this layer there is parenchymatous tissues called as mesophyll cells
mesophyll cells are divided into two types :-
1.palisade parenchyma-upper parenchymatous cells near to adaxial side
2.spongy parenchyma-layer of cells present below the palisade near to lower epidermis(adaxial side)
3.main difference between these two types are spongy parenchyma-layer is loosely arranged compared to palisade layer
4.next layer is vascular bundles in spongy parenchyma-layer
5.below this lies adaxial epidermis which contains stomata
hence dicot leaf is considered as hypostomatous leaf....
