Sewage wastes:waste material from toilets,kitchen sources are responsible for contaminating water

Industrial waste:the release of hardik chemical wastes from industries gets into the water bodies , thereby polluting them

Agrochemicals:these chemicals get carried away to the water bodies from agricultural field s due to rains and floods which lead to water pollution

The various sources of waste water are of two categories:
a) Natural      b)Man-Made
i) Natural sources of waste water include minerals from rocks,gangue, animal waste, ashes, chemicals released due to forest fires, sulphur compounds released after earthquakes etc.
ii)Man-Made sources of waste water are as follows:
1- Domestic sweage: waste water originating from kitchen, bathrooms, toilet, is domestic sewage.It includes food,vegetables waste, detergents etc.
2- Industrial waste: Industrial waste includes waste from the industries,oil, dyes, pesticides, construction materials such as gypsum, POP ,abrasive metals and poisonos solvents.
3- Radioactive waste: Radioactive waste is generated fom Industries, atomic plants, medical waste, scientific processes etc.
