⭐ MOUNATINS - Mountains are the very steep land or hill rising to great heights above the land surrounding it.

⭐ MOUNTAIN-BUILDING PROCESSES (STAGES) -

1) Accumulation of sediments : The sediments which gets deposited over a large area in a slope-like way gets accumulated first in the mountain building process which further have some more extension.

2) Uplift of structural sediments : The sediments suddenly gets uflited by the action of various external forces (may be endogenous or exogenous). The deposition takes place again after the process of transportation of sediments which are still getting uflifted to a certain height.

3) Block Faulting : The gravitational forces are responsible for block faulting. The long passage of time without active uplift has allowed weathering and erosion to remove large amounts of bedrock blocks from lower portion which raised to a height along the steep slope forming a raised mountain.
It includes lateral compressional and tensional forces acting upon it.
