Matter exists in mainly three states :
☆Soild- In this state particles of matter have less molecular space
eg. ice cube
☆liquid- at liquid state molecules have some amount of free space between each other
eg. water
☆gas- at gaseous state molecules are far apart from each other.
eg. air
