Different kinds of food chain are described below -

(i) Grazing food chain

This kind of chain of food begins with the green plants that are considered as the producers. Green plants are present as producers in the 1st level.

This food chain recieves energy from sun.

(ii) Detritus food chain

This food chain begins with decomposers which are the dead matters. This are termed as saprophytes which are present in the 1st level.

For example, fungi occupies the 1st level.

Organic remains provides energy to this food chain.
