the infant swallow the milk and its passes through his oesophagus then it enters the stomach where the enzyme rennin clot the milk so that pepsin can work on it. Hydrochloric acid helps pepsin to work. in the duodenum chyme +bile neutralize the hydrochloric  acid there the action of pepsin stop. trypsinogen+ enterokinase give trypsin which break down protein to peptose

in the ileum erepsin breakdown peptose to amino acid then in then assimilation
