The enzyme trypsin (present in the pancreatic juice) activates the inactiveenzyme chymotrypsinogen intochymotrypsin. The activatedchymotrypsin plays an important rolein the further breakdown of the partially-hydrolysed proteins. The other digestive enzymes of the same category are trypsinogen and carboxypeptidase.
