This is about the "Story of a young girl". Anne Frank wrote in her diary the important happenings during 1942-44. The Franks were hiding in a secret annex above a warehouse in Holland. They were Jews hiding from Germans.
After the warehouse was closed after 5:30 pm, the eight people were free to move in the annex and in the lower floor. Then Auguste Van Pels and Edith Frank used to prepare dinner and announce to them that dinner was served. They had a radio that was tuned to BBC broadcast. They used to wait till the news broadcast time to have dinner.
The dinner was taken together on the same table. The news regarding the fight between allied forces and German forces were heard during dinner time. They used to discuss the matters related to the war after the news on the dinner table. Often some disagreements too. That went on for about two years, before they were caught.
