Describe the distinct features of the city of Calcutta
as developed by the British in India. Inspite of
this, why did the British shift their capital to New Delhi .

Calcutta had many distinct features since it was at a sea port but later the british realised that the northern parts had fertile land and due to this many invaders started entering india from the northern himalayas unidentified or captured by the british. so they shifted their capital to new delhi which is located at the centre of india which helped them take care of each part of india.
