Explanation:
Potwar Plateau is a plateau located in the districts of Rawalpindi, Attock, and Jhelum in Punjab Province, Pakistan. Its diversified topography is continually being eroded. It is located between the Indus and Jhelum rivers and is bordered on the north by the Hazra Hills and on the south by the Salt Range. Its elevation ranges from 300 to 600 metres (1000 to 2,000 feet) and is made up of a network of residual hills and hillocks that are Ice Age artefacts made of glacial debris. The valleys of the Haro and Son rivers span the plateau from the eastern foothills to the Indus, while the Kla Chitta Range thrusts eastward over it near Rwalpindi.
Dissected ravine belts round the majority of the hills and rivers. The streams are deep-set and constantly rejuvenated.
