Chemical Reaction

Explanation:

When an electric current is passed through a conducting solution then there will be some chemical reaction takes place in the solution.

The passing of an electric current through a conducting solution causes chemical reaction which will reason formation of bubbles of a gas on the electrodes, deposits of metal on electrodes and changes of colour of solutions etc.

Some of the following chemical effects of electric current are :

Bubbles of gas will be formed at electrodes.
Deposits of metal will be seen on electrodes.
Change of colour of solution will occur.
