-ELECTIONS IN INDIA-

As we know that India is a democratic country and elections are held on regular basis in India.

1) The process elections starts from Nominations Of candidates. (each political party chooses their representatives).

2) The second step is election campaign. The political leaders do rallies and other campaigns to gain votes. They mainly raise issues of public intrest. The election campaign is regulated by code of conduct.

3) Then is the voting day. The election campaign is stopped and time is given to the voters to think. The people vote during these days. Also known as polling day. All the people whose name is there in voters list (electoral roll) can vote on this day.

3) The results of elections are declared on this day. After 1-2 weeks after polling day.

4) There are 2 types of elections in India general elections and mid term elections.
) General Election - Regular elections held after a specific period of time.
) Mid- Term elections - Held in between due to death, resignisation or any other reason.
