When Hari singh Robs the money from anil, he escapes to the lucknow railway station and when he about to board the train a big thought hits his mind. He first time feels like he is betraying a good and kind - hearted ( Anil ).. He thinks that if he boards the train he would eat royally for two weeks and again he have to rob some other else but if he stays with Anil and learns to write sentences he could become a educated man and can be successful in life.
After getting slightly wet by the rain, he return backs to Anil's house and carefully keeps the money under Anil's pillow.
The next morning, he wokes up late and much to his surprise he is being awaken by Anil with money.
Anil gives his first salary and owes to pay regularly.
When Hari Singh receives it, he could still feel the wetness of the money. He smiles in his most appealing way.
