A. The essential floral parts of Liliaceae are Androecium and Gynoecium. Androecium : Six stamens in two whorls, free or epiphyllous, anthers are dithecous basifixed, introrse and dehisce longitudinally. Gynoecium : Tricarpellary, syncarpous, trilocular superior ovary with many ovules on axile placentation.
