Answer:

On 14 July 1789, a state prison on the east side of Paris, known as the Bastille, was attacked by an angry and aggressive mob. The prison had become a symbol of the monarchy's dictatorial rule, and the event became one of the defining moments in the Revolution that followed.

heya, buddy !!

On the 14 July 1789 Bastille fortress that was used as a prison by the King of France was demolished by the people who wanted to reach the ammunition that was believed to have been stored there. As there were rumours that were spread among the people of France that King would soon order the army to open fire upon the citizens due to order of the king that he had commanded troops to move into the city. In the armed fight commander of the prison was killed and the seven prisoners inside were all released. The fortress was completely demolished by people. The Bastille represented the despotic power of the king and was hated by all.

We know that,

The political reasons of French Revolution were:

The Bourbon king of France, Louis XVI was an extremely autocratic and weak willed and incompetent king who led a life of luxury. This led to a lot of anger and dissatisfaction among the masses who then were leading life of extreme poverty and widespread hunger. All the political powers were in the hands of the first two estates and they enjoyed all the privileges. Louis XVI was drove France into useless wars bringing the country to the verge of bankruptcy.
