Petrograd, Russia witnessed a massive anti government movement known as July Days Unrest.

Bolsheviks were being dominated which forced Kersenky to take a major role in the Russian government.

Under the threat of a military coup, Kersenky became Russia's Prime minister and supreme commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
