Answer: After pollination the pollen grain is transferred to stigma where it germinates to form pollen tube. The nucleus in microspore divides to form two gametes and tube nucleus. In the mean time changes occur in ovule leading to the formation of female spore(megaspore). It consists of seven cells and one cell in egg.The pollen tube grows through styleenters the ovule and then reaches the magaspore. The egg and one of two male gamete fuse to form the oospore. The second male gamete fuse with secondary nucleus to form endosperm nucleus. The oospore develops into embryo and endosperm nucleus develops into multi-cellular nutritive
tissue.
