hello mate,
When Tippu Sultan attacked Travancore,an alloy of English and the only pepper specs company, Lord Cornwallis defeated Tippu and forced him to sign the treaty of Serirangapatana (Srirangapatana) and later killed him. After killing Tippu, it was easy for the British to annexe their empire to Mysore.
