Excretion is the process of removal of metabolic and nitrogeneous waste such as urea from the body.

The excretory system of human being consists of a pair of kidneys,a pair of ureters, urinary bladder and urethra.

The urine is produced in the kidney. The kidney has basic filtration unit- NEPHRON. It converts the blood into urine by absorbing glucose, amino acids and other nutrients from the blood(glomerulus - a network of capillaries absorb these). Then the water is selectively reabsorbed in the tubule depending upon the amount of water present im the body and the waste to be generated. Finally, the nitrogeneous waste is left and urine is formed.

The urine passes throungh the ureter and gets stored in the bladder and comes out through urethra( when we have the urge to pass it)
