Describe the experiments of hershey and chase performed to show that it is dna and not protein which is the genetic material in bacteriophage

so basically hershey and chase done a experiment to prove that genetic material which is passed from parent to children is DNA. So before knowing answer we have to study some thing before this
¤phosphorus is found in DNA
¤SULPHUR is found in protein
¤bacteriophage is a virus which infect bacteria by inserting its genetic material

so, they placed two bacteriophage in two separated region one in P32 radioactive region and one in S32 region then allowed both to infect two separate bacteria but same bacteria
then he separate them by centrifugation and finally he found that the bacteria which is infected with P32 bacteriophage is radioactive
