The poem talks about a tarso - less statue , found in the middle of the desert. The poet meets a traveller from an antique land. The traveller tells him the story of this statue . The statue has vast legs , but it has no - tarso .It is made of stone, and stands alone in the middle of the desert. Near the statue, there is a shattered stone face that lies half buried in the the sand . It has a pronounced frown , wrinkled lips and a sneer that seems to coldly command people. There is no warmth in that face.
The traveller says that the statue's sculptor understood the emotions of the statue's subject very well. That is the reason why those emotions still survive , etchedon the statue's life less face......

Hope This Helps.....

Answer:

The face is partly buried in the sand and the face is "shattered" and eroded. The face has a frown, a "wrinkled lip" and a "sneer of cold command." Although the statue was commissioned by Ozymandias to portray his greatness, the sculptor chose to portray the ruler's pride and selfish superiority.
