Factors responsible for late start of modern period in India:

Because of British government and their rules and civil war. During that era British had established themselves and they were dominating the India. They ruled the country for almost two century. They exploited commercially of the natural resources of India. We know that India was also called as ‘’Sone Ki Chidiya’’ but after British invasion they took everything from us and left the country in poor condition. This is the reason for the late start of modern era and the country is still developing as compared to other countries which are developed already.
