Factors that affect climate of india are: 1) latitude: due to curvature of earth , the amount of sunlight received varies according to latitudes. 2) altitudes: as one go higher and higher , the atmosphere become less dense and temperature decreases. 3) continentality : the sea exerts a moderating influence on climate .

2 . Altitude : As we go higher temperature generally decrease as the atmosphere becomes less dense .

3. Pressure and wind system : They depend on the latitude and altitude of a place the influencing the rainfall patterns

4. Distance from sea : The sea has a moderating effect on the climate . as distance from sea increase this effect decrease and places experience extreme weather conditions.

5. ocean currents : They affect the climate of the coastal areas with the onshores winds.

6. Relief : High mountain act as barries for cold hot winds may also cause precipitation if they are high enough and lie in the path of rain bearing winds . the leeward side of mountain remains dry .
