Sugarcane is a tropical plant, therefore requires a year warm weather to reach maturity. The areas having tempreture of 20degree celcius to 26 degree celcius and an average rainfall of 150 cm are suitable for its cultivation Sugarcane grows well in alluvial and light-clay soil.
