To keep a rabbit healthy, you should feed them once a day, and give them fresh water at least twice per day. The best feed for a rabbit is commercial rabbit pellets, I personally recommend Kent Professional Rabbit Feed. The amount of feed you should give to your rabbit depends on the age and breed of the rabbit. Larger breeds should be fed up to two cups per day, while smaller breeds should be fed less than one cup, and more than a fourth of a cup. A rabbit that is still growing (younger than six months) should be fed freely, meaning that their food bowl should be filled constantly.

Water, however, is most important. You should ALWAYS keep your rabbits water bowl/bottle full.

Whatever you do, DO NOT FEED YOUR RABBIT ANY VEGETABLES OR GREENS, unless you have done sufficient research. Typical foods like lettuce, carrots, or Alfalfa can give your poor bunny a stomachache, cause diarrhea, or even death.

If you want to give your bunny a special treat, give them some hay (Timothy hay is best) or fresh, thin branches of weeping willow (only the fresh growth, older branches have high levels of aspirin, and can cause death or serious illness). You could also give them small branches of applewood, or (only on occasion) the GREENS from carrots.

If you believe what you see in cartoons, you would think that mice eat cheese. Actually, they like to eat fruits, seeds and grains. They are omnivorous, which means they eat both plants and meat, and the common house mice will eat just about anything it can find. In fact, if food is scarce, mice will even eat each other.Mice have voracious appetites. They eat around 15 to 20 times per day, so they build their homes nearby places that have readily accessible food sources.
