  • The ovaries constitute the primary sex organ of female while oviducts, uterus, cervix and vagina constitute the accessory ducts.
  • A pair of mammary glands is also present which supports the developing foetus.
  • The primary function of the female reproductive system is to produce the female gamete (ova) and provide the site for fertilization and implantation.
