The Canterville Chase was haunted by the spirit of Sir Simon de Canterville who had killed his wife and had died soon later than his wife. His body was never found but his spirit haunted the house. There are so many evidences which prove the existence of the apparition. There has been numerous deaths, and hysterics that were suffered by the people who ever stayed in the chase.
