Describe the flora and fauna of the Ganga Brahmaputra basin.

Due to varied topography, the Ganga-Brahmaputra bain has varied flora and fauna. The vegetation varies according to the land features. In the mountains of Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh,coniferous trees like pine,deodar and fir grow due to the cool climate and steep slopes.
